UK BASED NURSE ASSISTANT (PARTIAL SPONSORSHIP)

1- JOB DESCRIPTION :

In the UK, a Nursing Assistant or Nursing Auxiliary—is a frontline care professional. You work under the supervision of registered nurses to deliver essential daily care, monitor patient health, and provide crucial emotional support.


2- DUTIES :


▪️ Personal Care: Assisting patients with washing, dressing, using the toilet, and maintaining personal hygiene. Helping patients eat and drink, and ensuring proper nutritional intake.

▪️ Clinical Monitoring: Taking baseline vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure) and recording them. Monitoring conditions, applying basic dressings (when trained), and immediately reporting any changes or concerns to registered nurses.

▪️ Mobility & Safety: Safely repositioning patients to prevent pressure sores and assisting with movement using equipment like hoists. Maintaining a clean, safe environment by following strict infection control and PPE protocols



3- REQUIREMENTS :


▪️ Education & Qualifications: There are no strict academic entry requirements for this role. However, an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is highly advantageous. Most employers provide thorough on-the-job training.

▪️ Key Skills: High levels of empathy and compassion are mandatory. You need strong communication skills to interact with patients and anxious families, physical stamina to handle lifting/long hours, and basic IT literacy to update electronic patient records.
