1- JOB DESCRIPTION :
In Canada, a Warehouse Worker (often classified as a Warehouse Associate, Operative, or Material Handler) is responsible for the efficient handling of goods, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products.
2- DUTIES :
▪️ Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing client orders, often using automated voice-pick systems or scanners.
▪️ Inventory Management: Receiving, sorting, and storing incoming parts, supplies, and materials in designated warehouse, tool room, or storage areas.
▪️ Material Handling: Loading and unloading trucks and containers, often moving products weighing up to 60 lbs (approx. 27 kg).
▪️ Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of inventory
▪️ Safety Compliance: Performing all tasks safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies, following instructions from team leaders.
▪️ Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the workspace clean, orderly, and safe.
3- REQUIREMENTS :
▪️Physical Fitness: High physical capacity is necessary
▪️Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred, though entry-level positions are common.
▪️Basic literacy and numerical skills for reading orders and completing paperwork.
▪️Proficiency with inventory management software or RF scanners.
▪️Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
▪️Standing and walking for extended periods.
▪️Handling materials manually.
▪️Bending, twisting, and lifting.
▪️Repetitive motions.
▪️Teamwork: Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
▪️Reliability: Strong work ethic and punctuality.
