1- JOB DESCRIPTION :

A Laundry Manager in the UK oversees industrial or commercial laundry operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and compliant processing of linens and textiles. Key responsibilities include supervising staff (scheduling, training, health & safety), managing budgets, maintaining machinery, and ensuring Infection Control standards (BSEN 14065) are met.


2- DUTIES :

▪️ Operational Management: Managing daily laundry, washing, drying, ironing, and packing operations to meet deadlines and quality standards.
▪️ Staff Leadership: Recruiting, training, supervising, and coaching laundry staff, including managing performance and scheduling shifts.
▪️ Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
▪️ Quality Control: Implementing procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and stain removal.
▪️ Inventory & Financials: Controlling inventory of linen, uniform, and chemicals, and managing budget/production costs.
▪️ Customer/Client Relations: Liaising with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve complaints


3- REQUIREMENTS :

▪️ Leadership/Management: Proven experience in staff supervision and team development.
▪️ Technical Knowledge: Understanding of commercial cleaning machinery, laundry processes, and infection control standards
▪️ Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with staff and suppliers.
▪️ Organisational Skills: Ability to plan work schedules and manage inventory effectively.
▪️ Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve operational issues and manage emergencies quickly.
