1- JOB DESCRIPTION :
A UK-based Hotel Receptionist is the primary point of contact, delivering exceptional front-of-house service by managing guest check-ins/outs, processing bookings via phone/email, handling payments, and resolving queries. Key duties include operating switchboards, coordinating with housekeeping, and providing local tourist information. The role requires excellent communication, IT skills (Property Management Systems), and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
2- DUTIES :
▪️ Guest Services: Welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and allocating rooms.
▪️ Reservations & Admin: Handling bookings, cancellations, and modifications via email, phone, or in-person.
▪️ Financial Tasks: Processing payments, managing cash/card transactions, and preparing bills.
▪️ Communication: Answering switchboards, managing emails, and liaising between guests and departments (housekeeping/maintenance).
▪️ Concierge Duties: Providing information on local attractions, transport, and booking services.
▪️ Problem Resolution: Handling guest complaints and queries efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
3- REQUIREMENTS :
▪️ Experience: Previous customer service or hospitality experience is often preferred, though not always essential.
▪️ Skills: Strong communication (verbal and written), IT literacy (PMS systems, MS Office), and multitasking abilities.
▪️ Attributes: A friendly, professional, and patient demeanor.
▪️ Qualifications: While no formal education is always required, good GCSEs in English and Maths are frequently requested.
