1- JOB DESCRIPTION :
Registered Nurses (RNs) in Canada provide direct, high-level patient care, assess health conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in hospitals, clinics, and community settings. They are responsible for implementing nursing care plans, educating patients and families, and acting as first-level responders in critical care.
2- DUTIES :
▪️ Patient Assessment & Care: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, including monitoring symptoms and operating medical equipment.
▪️ Clinical Procedures: Administering medications, dressing wounds, inserting catheters, and assisting in surgical procedures.
▪️ Documentation & Communication: Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records and communicating with families, physicians, and staff.
▪️ Health Promotion: Delivering education programs, providing counseling, and developing discharge plans.
▪️ Leadership: Supervising licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff, and mentoring students.
3- REQUIREMENTS :
▪️ Education: Completion of a university, college, or other approved nursing program is required.
▪️ Licensure: Willingness to obtain a registration with a provincial or territorial regulatory body is mandatory to practice in Canada.
▪️ Skills: Strong critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
